In order to align with International standard and best practices and the United Nation Standard of Policing, the Force needs virile and dynamic police officers for better service delivery and mitigiating emerging security challenges.

According to the information written on the recruitment official site, the goal of the recruitment is to ensure the safety of lives and property of the Nigeria citizens and make Nigeria safer and more secured for economic development and growth.

Who Can Apply 
1. Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN)

2. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB with credit passess in English and Mathematics.

3. Applicants must be aged between 18-25 years by March 2018.

4. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67mtrs tall for male and 1.64mtrs tall for female.

5. Applicants must print their completed online forms, guarantor form and submit it at the examination / screening and recruitment centre.

6. All applicants MUST have readily available scanned copy of their
– SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO Result
– Birth Certificate Result
– FSLC Result
– LGA Certificate
– Passport Photograph

2018 Police Recruitment Tips for Applicants
a. Applicants are advised to always use a Computer for registration, you can then use mobile devices to view completed registration. Note: Always check SPAM for emails from the Nigeria Police Force. 

b. There are always about 1k+ applicants every hour trying to submit their applications, the server can only handle as much as possible. Avoid competing with others, try at night, very early or use a very reliable internet connection.

c. Dear Applicant, the Nigeria Police Force have updated subjects area to include “Civic Education, Fin. Accounting, Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa Languages”.

d. To all applicants needing assistance/help with registration, please state such needs inclusive of your email/Registration Number.

e. Applicants are advised to check SPAM/JUNK/BULK folders for email message. Those making use of email filtering service should add the address [email protected] as exception. Also note that the Nigeria Police force servers will retry sending failed messages for 30Hours.

f. Dear Applicants, the Nigeria Police Force is pleased to inform you that they have upgraded their email notification service to allow unlimited sending/receipt. Please use the feature on the portal for your needs. Do not hesitate to contact support for any help you may require with respect to the recruitment.

g. All applicants having submission issues are advised to use the “Retrieve Registration Number” Function to obtain their registration number. Login to your profile using your existing password and edit as necessary.

h. For Login issues, Send the Police Force a mail with your Registration Number and Email to [email protected]. Ensure subject is “LOGIN ISSUE.”

i. Dear Applicants, the Nigeria’s police is pleased to inform you of the “Resend Confirmation Link” function for those who do not receive our Registration Mail. You can register again using same email, when you get the duplicate error, you click ‘Resend Email Confirmation Link’.

j. Dear applicants, please try to use dedicated internet with good browser e.g http://chrome. You also don’t need to use multiple/new emails, just wait for 24hours so that you can use the email again. Resize all your scanned documents to 100kb each in jpeg, jpng and jpg format.

k. The Nigeria’s Police have released all emails resulting in incomplete registrations/non receipt of confirmation links. Applicants can proceed and use this emails now without worrying about “Duplication Errors”.

l. Dear Applicants, Please be informed that an option (similar to “Retrieve Registration Number”) to allow you Reset / Retrieve your Lost/Forgotten password would soon be made available.

m. For all registration issues, incomplete Reg, Power Failure, No Reg Mail received etc. you can now use the “Retrieve Registration Number” feature in the Login area to obtain you registration number. Use this with you password to login and continue

n. Applicants are advised to obtain NIN (National Identification Number) from the nearest nimc Enrollment Centers. You only require the Number i.e (NIN) for this application and not the Plastic Card.

o. Candidates who do not receive Registration Email/Link are advised to wait 24 hours to retry and are to ensure Correct Email address is entered during registration.

What is NIN? 
NIN stands for National Identity Number.

I dont have a NIN what do i do?
You can visit any of the NIMC Enrollment Centers to obtain a NIN. You must enter a valid NIN to apply for the position, All Application with Invalid NIN would be removed on Wednessday of each week.

What size of Pictures can i Upload? 
The lesser the size, the easier the upload, Max size is 1MB.

I didn’t receive any Email after registering 
Emails are automatically sent to all applicant who register succesfuly, you may need to check your SPAM or BULK folders.

I didn’t get a Registration Number, how do i log in? 
All applicants with incomplete aplication do not get a Registration Number and so can not log in

I get a ‘Duplicate Error! The Specified Email has already been Used’, what do i do? 
This is because you have already registered. You can proceed by clicking on the link in the registration mail sent to you.

Why does the browser redirect me to the home page each time i click on the link in the Registration mail?
This is because you have an incomplete application, Not to worry, The system will allow you restart your application after 24 hours. To restart, you will have to click on the link in the Registration Email.

I am a graduate, can i appl? 
Yes you can apply as a POLICE CONSTABLE if all other criteria are met.

How long is the application process open for? 
The application process will run for SIX (6) Weeks from 07/02/18

How do i edit my existing application 
To Edit an already completed application:
– You Login from the Home page (using Registration Number eg. ‘XYZ/PC/1004333211’ sent to your email and the password you used during registration. This takes you to your Profile Page.
– At the Bottom of the Profile Page, you click Edit Profile, this takes you to Your Personal Information Page
– You can make Necessary Changes on your Personal Information page and click continue (This takes you to your Educational/Uploads Page)
– From Education/Uploads Page you can adjust your Education information etc
– Note:* Files already upoaded are displayed greyed out in their respective boxes. Avoid re-uploading

HOW TO APPLY FOR 2018 POLICE RECRUITMENT
