He commended the Press and Public Relations Unit of the Scheme for initiating such an invaluable training which is in line with the policy directive of the management and urged other departments to replicate the positive development.
Earlier, the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, said the training is geared towards repositioning the staff of the scheme to reinvigorate the ‘can do spirit’, be at the top of the game and unlock the secret weapon of achieving the best practice in the workplace.
She stressed that the workshop also aimed at raising the standard and enhance the capacity of the Scheme to uphold peak performance and remain relevant to the peculiar challenges of Nigeria as a nation.
In his presentation on Work Ethics, Mr JFK Abiona, urged workshop participants to acquire new knowledge that is relevant to their official engagements.
He admonished them to enhance their personal integrity which will serve as a prelude to organisational achievements.
Speaking further, he said every staff must endeavour to work as team players without which organisational goals will become a mirage.
Abiona observed that NYSC has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and have the highest social capital in the country. He urged the staff to strive and sustain the achievements of the Scheme and work towards becoming the best in their chosen fields.
