DG DECRIES SLOW PACE OF WORK AT NYSC INTEGRATED FARM SETTLEMENT


THE NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS, NYSC INTEGRATED FARM SETTLEMENT: DIRECTOR GENERAL, DG DECRIES SLOW PACE OF WORK 
A report has it that the Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure has expressed his displeasure at the slow pace of work on the construction of Corps Members' lodge and farmhouse at NYSC integrated farm settlement, located at Paago and Ado-Awaye in Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He made this known during his maiden visit to the project sites in order to have an on-the-spot assessment. 
Kazaure, who was conducted round the 36 hectares of farmland by the Farm Manager, Mr Peter Alabi, said NYSC Management would leave no unturned in its quest to key into Federal Government policy on agricultural development. 

He said there was the need to ensure food security for all and sundry adding that the farm settlement is also an avenue to train Corps Members that are agric-oriented, which would encourage job creation with mechanised farming among them. 

While conducting General Kazaure round the farm, Mr Alabi informed the the DG about the challenges confronting the farm which include; mechanized farming equipments, utility vehicles, storage facilities, adequate logistics among others. 

The Clan Head of the community where the farm is located, Chief Waheed Adeoti reiterated the commitment of the villagers to the success of all farming operations on the project. 

He used the forum to solicit for the posting of more Corps Members to the community in order to foster more robust relationship between the Scheme and the community.
