Note that there is no way to delete notification messages you have already viewed. Facebook saves all of your notification messages but lists the most recent messages at the top of the list.

To delete notifications on Facebook using iPad app, do this;

1. First, open your Facebook account. To do that, you’ll need to tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a white “f” on a blue background.

If you’re logged in, doing so will open your News Feed.

Bear in mind that if you aren’t already logged into Facebook, you’ll need to type in your email address (or phone number) and password and then tap Login. You can skip this step if you’re already logged in to your account.

2. Next, tap the “Notifications” icon at the bottom of the screen. The Facebook Notifications icon is the globe-shaped icon. Doing that will open a list of your notification history.

3. Now, you will need to swipe from right to left over a notification. Doing that will pop up a red Hide option in the right of the notification.

4. Finally, tap on the Hide button.

Repeat the same step with the rest of the Facebook notifications you want to delete.

How To Clear Notifications Using Desktop
To clear or remove Facebook notifications on Facebook using your personal computer, do the following;
1. Type https://www.facebook.com in your browser and click on the enter button to proceed to the Facebook homepage. This will open your Facebook news feed if you’ve already logged in. If you’re yet to log in, you’ll be required to enter your login details at the login section of the Facebook login page.

Now, type in your phone number or email and password in the spaces provided and then click on the login button to proceed to your Facebook news feed.

2. Next, click on the notifications icon at the top right corner of any Facebook page. This is the globe icon next to the question mark icon. Doing that will display the list of all the notifications you have received.

3. Now, hover your mouse cursor on the entry for notification you want to delete and you should see “” icon at the far right of the message. Click it and a small drop-down menu should display.

4. Finally, click hide this notification.

Once you do that, you’ll not see the entry again whenever you check your notification.

Clear Facebook Notifications via Android
To clear Facebook notifications using the Android app, do the following;

1. Open Facebook app icon to proceed to your news feed.

Bear in mind that you’ll need to type in your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap Log In if you aren’t already logged into Facebook.

2. Next, tap the “Notifications” icon at the bottom of the screen. The Facebook Notifications icon is the globe-shaped icon. Doing that will open a list of your notification history.

3. Now, you’ll need to tap ““on the right side of the notification you want to remove. Doing that will prompt a pop-up menu to appear.

4. Finally, tap Hide this notification from the pop-up menu. Doing so will delete the notification from the “Notifications” menu and the activity log. Make sure you repeat this process for each notification you wish to clear.
